Donut Capital of the World
In 2022, on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the Lake James location set a Guinness World Record for the most freshly baked donuts sold in eight hours. When the day was over, Tom’s Donuts sold 8,558 donuts. Hundreds of people from all over the Midwest contributed to this historic day by purchasing bags and boxes of freshly-made donuts.
Started by Tom Saylor 53 years ago, Tom’s Donuts has two Angola locations: one at 807 N. Wayne St. and the other at Four Corners near the Lake James/Jimmerson Lake bridge. The business is now owned by Tom’s son Todd.
Tom’s has expanded to include a food trailer across the street from the Lake James location where you’ll find delicious brisket burgers, fries, onion rings and ice cream.
