Annual Seaplane Fly-In
Whether you call it a fly-in or a splash-in, the annual event at Pokagon State Park Sunday, Sept. 22 is a crowd favorite.
Sponsored by the Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association, the fly-in attracts approximately 20 pilots from the Midwest. They fly in from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois (and sometimes additional states) for the one-day event. Pilots will land on Lake James near the Potawatomi Inn then taxi onto the lawn where the public can view the planes and meet the pilots. Planes will be taking off and landing beginning at 8 a.m. and will continue through the afternoon.
During the event, attendees have a chance to enter a drawing for a free seaplane ride! Winners will view Lake James and Pokagon State Park from a whole new vantage point.
Overnight stays are available at the Potawatomi Inn. Call (260) 833-1077 to book your room today. Enjoy lunch at the inn’s restaurant or stay for dinner!
