OLD TIME HORSE-DRAWN CHRISTMAS PARADE NOV.30
OLD TIME HORSE-DRAWN CHRISTMAS PARADE NOV.30
More than 40 horse-drawn wagons decorated for Christmas parade through the streets of Hamilton the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This beloved tradition, now in its 25th year, begins at 6 p.m. Teams of horses arrive from near and far for the parade, which starts at Hamilton High School.
The parade then makes its way down Wayne Street to the four-way stop, around Brookside Park and heads back to the town hall. Kids can then meet Santa at the hall following the parade. Most of the parade participants throw candy out to the kids so don’t forget to bring a bag or bucket. Parking is available along the parade route as well as on side streets.
New in 2024 is the Nutcracker Village, located in the Star Bank/Hamilton Police Department parking lot. Between 4:30 and 7 p.m. shop for gifts while the kids create a free craft. Carolers will fill the streets with the sounds of the season. Grab a bag of popcorn, a piece of fudge or freshly roasted nuts while you enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season in Hamilton!

Pleasant Lake Days
Everyone was sitting at table cloth covered picnic tables under a pavilion so we sat down to enjoy...
Pokagon State Park
Pokagon is also home to the state’s only refrigerated toboggan. Open weekends the day after Thanksgiving through the last weekend in February, the toboggan is a great family activity.
101 Lake Sauce
101 Lakes Sauce is an “all purpose sauce good on everything except ice cream and cereal.” Purchase locally at Fremont Village Foods or the Bent Fork in downtown Angola. The sauce is also used on The Venue’s wings!
