Indiana Rail Experience

Named “Indiana’s Best New Experience” in 2023 by the Indiana Tourism Association, the Indiana Rail Experience continues to add new rides to their busy schedule.

Make a new holiday tradition in northeast Indiana! The Indiana Christmas Train departs Pleasant Lake for a magical 1.5-hour trip through the winter countryside with Saint Nick aboard. Deluxe coach, first class, family packages, private suites and private cars for families and groups are available. This year new seating has been added, including the Christmas cocktail class reserved just for adults; a private lounge for groups of up to 15 and the Pullman lounge and Pullman tables on exclusive dates. There’s even an ornament class, where guests can create their custom ornament during the trip.

Upon your arrival at Santa’s Station, enjoy carols with musicians, savor a warm drink from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, and climb aboard with elves from Gia’s Balloon Buddies for holiday cheer. Santa will be on board every train and visit en route. All ticket sales support the non-profit historic preservation efforts in Indiana.

The Indiana Christmas Train departs the Pleasant Lake Depot, 1469 W. Main St., Pleasant Lake, on the following dates: Dec. 6-8; Dec. 13-15, and Dec. 20-23.

In 2023, the Indiana Rail Experience was voted Best New Experience by the Indiana Tourism Association. They continue to add new excursions to their schedule throughout the year.
