Angola Balloons Aloft
Angola Balloons Aloft is a two-day event featuring 30 hot air balloons competing for cash and prizes. The event features five balloon launches as well as a classic car show, helicopter rides, a kids fun zone, free archery tag and more Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12, 2025 at Angola High School. Admission and parking are free, making it a great opportunity for families and friends to come out and enjoy some fun together. There will be plenty of photo opportunities, so be sure to bring your camera. In addition to the 30 competition balloons, you’ll see five unique special-shape balloons!
There will be balloon illuminations both Friday and Saturday nights following the competition flights.
Festivalgoers can experience the thrill of soaring above the crowd in a helicopter. The paid rides are extremely popular, so arrive early to avoid long lines.
The festival will also feature a classic car show on Saturday and gives everyone the opportunity to see these beautiful cars up close. The many food vendors at the Angola Balloons Aloft Festival are sure to have something to tantalize your taste buds! Elephant ears are favorites among kids of all ages, while grown-ups often go for the pizza or mini donuts. And don’t forget about the homemade ice cream – it’s worth the wait in line. No matter what your preference, there’s sure to be a food vendor that will make your mouth water.

Pokagon State Park

101 Lake Sauce
101 Lakes Sauce is an “all purpose sauce good on everything except ice cream and cereal.” Purchase locally at Fremont Village Foods or the Bent Fork in downtown Angola. The sauce is also used on The Venue’s wings!
