Indiana Rail experience adds new trips in 2024
Named “Indiana’s Best New Experience” in 2023 by the Indiana Tourism Association, the Indiana Rail Experience continues to add new rides to their busy schedule.

The Indiana Ice Cream Train; Tales, Ales and Rails Train; the Fall Color Train and the Christmas Train all are geared toward children and families. They depart from either Angola or the newly-acquired depot five miles south in Pleasant Lake. Adults-only trains include Wine and Whiskey Train; Wine and Chocolate Train and Rudy’s Rolling Smoke Cigar Train. Rides range from one hour up to all day. The world-famous steam locomotive No. 765 leads the way on these rides through Steuben County. The locomotive weighs 400 tons and stands 16-feet tall and is one of the most active steam locomotives still operating in the country.

NATURE PROGRAMS OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE WINTER
The interpretive nature center at Pokagon State Park includes Native American and Civilian Conservation Corps exhibits along with an upgraded nature observation window.
Toboggan open weekends until March 1
A tradition born nearly 90 years ago continues to this day at Pokagon State Park in Angola. A ride down the 1,780-foot toboggan has delighted young and old alike for decades.
