Golden Green Soap Company: Artisan hand-crafted soaps and bath products
The shop’s entry isn’t a traditional shop entrance and doesn’t visually jump out at you. As in many historic downtowns, you sometimes find “secret” places that even local residents don’t know about. Luckily the shop has a large picture window indicating that you are in the right place and off-street parking is located directly in front of the location and a few feet north on the Public Square. There is also a sign outside of Elemento to lead you in the right direction.
The shop’s decor is simple with the color-you guessed it-green as an accent. The space is intimate and cozy. Its shelves are lined with handmade bath products that include bath bombs, lotions, and scrubs. They have a line of vegan soaps, locally sourced goat milk soaps, and a men’s skincare line. They also have laundry and cleaning liquids with a zero-waste station where you can refill bottles from your original purchase at the shop. Packaging is simple and minimal. The scents are amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Diaz-Moreno says it takes about a month and a half to two months to make a great bar of soap. He allows the soap to cure for that time to let the water evaporate, which gives you a longer-lasting bar. Golden Green’s artisan products balance the practicality of their products with indulgence.
Customers are a priority for Golden Green Soap Company. It’s a business founded on relationships, striving to provide the best possible experience with its products and interactions. Diaz-Moreno believes in his product and its importance in self-care as an essential part of one’s daily routine. “Self-care is not selfish,” states Diaz-Moreno.
